The highly successful journey of Vani Vidyalaya had a humble begining in the year 2002 on the Vijayadasami Day with Just half a dozen students.Now the school has become one of the most reputed schools flourishing in all the aspects of education & development in Chennai city, with the strength of 3000 students within a short span of 6 years.

The school is affiliated to the Central Board Of Secondary Education - New Delhi.

The academic year 2003-04 was an important year of Vani Vidyalaya as the school started functioning from classes Pre.KG to Class VI.

The academic year 2004-05 was a memorable year for the school as Vani Vidyalaya got the much deserved status of an affiliated school to CBSE. The school was upgraded to class VIII.

The glorious growth of the school was begun successfully. The school implemented the curriculum of its own on par with the leading CBSE schools of India.

The year 2005-06 was a milestone year in the success journey of Vani Vidyalaya, as it has sent its first batch of students for AISSE – 2006 and the students cleared the exam with distinction.

Presently the school is upgraded to the status of Senior Secondary & Junior College with all required modern Infrastructure. The first batch of AISSCE will be appearing in the2010. At this juncture we proudly declare that the school is producing excellent results in AISSE all the years.

Thiru A.N.Radhakrishnan the founder of Vani Vidyalaya takes immense interest in equipping the school with modern infrastructure.

The school is run by Meenakshi Ammal Trust; The trust also runs Medical College, Dental College, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Theraphy, Engineering College, Arts & Science College, Teachers Training Institute, Polytechnic, Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Higher Secondary & Matriculation Schools.
